Looking forward to

I am looking forward to this movie adaptation so very much. This is one of my favorite books (ties for first with The Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers) and I’m stoked about Mia playing Jane. I have high expectations! Oh, and isn’t the poster lovely?

Flashy Things

Since I have been obsessing over She & Him for the past few months, I decided I better post a few photos from the show I went to back in May for my birthday. Darin and I didn’t try to get too close up, because the venue is relatively small and felt pretty crowded. We weren’t allowed to use flashes at the show, so, here are a few shots I got. Most of them weren’t very clear. Zooey and M. Ward were both extremely classy, witty, and cute. I also thoroughly enjoyed their opening band, The Chapin Sisters.

Last weekend, my sister and I traveled down to our home town in Iowa for a little Summerfest fun, which included a craft sale that we partook in. It was also nice to see the family and celebrate Father’s Day. Here are a few shots of our our craft table and jewelry. Most of the jewelry that didn’t sell will be added to our online store shortly.

As you can see, I’ve been keeping busy with jewelry making and the such. Sorry for the blog neglect. I hope to have some time this weekend to devote to it.

Pretty (or quirky?) Friday

I kind of feel like I’m cheating at blogging because I found this artist on Etsy’s front page this morning. I’m sure many of you have already seen these odd, but intriguing wall hangings. The seller/artist, Mary’s Grandaughter, is from Florida, but you would never know it. For example, the porcelain doll arms are from Germany and were dug from the earth from the grounds of an old doll factory that operated between 1890-1920. And the linen? Antique homespun. All of these things, paired with the mysterious, folky vibe, make this seller truly unique.  I think they would make great decor for any room in the house! Maybe some day I will be able to afford one. Until then, happy admiring!

Photo Love

Dena and I had the honor of having the LOVELY and AMAZING Emily Steffen photograph our handmade jewelry recently. It was such a great experience. We grabbed some of our GORGEOUS friends and relations, styled them up, added some eye candy and had a great old adventure running around the fields of Wisconsin and shooting between rain showers. We can not express enough the gratitude we have for our lovely friend, Emily. She is so talented and her bubbly personality is such a joy and blessing to be around.

Check out the full blog post with LOTS more photos!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to our dear friends who modeled the HeadsTwogether jewelry and accessories for us. You were all such great sports dashing in and out of cars between the rain showers. You are wonderful! We love you all.
