At it Again, an Update

Sorry for the long absence. This past year has been busy with learning how to balance my life as a mom, wife, housekeeper, etc. My little baby just turned ONE year old a few weeks ago. I’m finally feeling like some rhythm and consistency is restored in my life again.

As a kick into gear, I have committed to having a booth at an upcoming Spring Boutique Expo in Oakdale, MN in a few weeks. There will be a variety of vendors there – from beauty products and services to crafts and handmade goods. I’ve been working on a collection of Scripture based Art Prints that I will be selling at the expo, among other things. I hope you will consider coming! Below is a sneak peek of the collection. You can also find them in my etsy store online.

Photo Love

I had the honor of taking some engagement photos for my sister-in-law and her soon-to-be-husband. While I am pleased with these novice photos, there is part of me that wishes I could have another “go” at it! My technical skills limit me, but we had a lot of fun taking them. Thankfully, I’ll put my better skills to work when I design their wedding invitations. I can’t wait to get started on them!

Congrats to Joy & Patrick, who are tying the knot next Summer. I am soo happy for you two and can’t wait for that special day!

Logo Design: Amber Lianne Photography

I had the privilege of designing a logo and business card for my talented friend, Amber, a few months back.  She captures people, pets, and the World through the lens of a camera. In her portfolio, you’ll find a wide array of Engagements, Weddings, Nature, Pets, and Portraits. Some of my favorite shots are of her fuzzy little kitten, Cayenne. But you’ll have to check out her blog to see those.

I had a lot of fun designing for Amber because I know her style.  She was also very detailed when explaining to me what she wanted.  We used light, airy, fresh colors to match her photography style, as well as match who she is as a person.  When meeting her, you’ll find a friendly, honest, down-to-earth girl.

If you are looking for a Minnesota photographer for your upcoming nuptials, family snapshots, or just for fun, Amber is your gal. Check out her facebook page for more about her photography and contact info.

All photos belong to Amber Lianne Photography. Please do not steal them without permission.

Banner Designs

Being a graphic designer has it’s perks. I think I take it for granted sometimes. My fellow blogger friend, C. of city damsel, expressed her frustration with not being able to make her banner look exactly how she wanted it to look. So I forwardly sent her a new design. I’m glad she liked it enough to use it.

Just Designed: Flier

I designed this flier for my facebook invitation. I’m hosting a movie marathon for Jane Austen fans at my home.  We’re spending the day watching happily-ever-afters.  My favorite movie adaptation is Pride & Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.  Persuasion, Sense & Sensibility, and Emma will also be shown.  Let me know if you weren’t invited but want to come. I’m looking forward to it.
